Before the 2027 governorship election, the founder of the OTTIMANIA movement and Ikenga Gburugburu of Ohafia and Nneato Ancient Kingdoms, Ambassador Dr. Osita Offor, has said Governor Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, continues to distinguish himself as a leader whose competence and credibility are earning global recognition, describing his recent public lecture at the University of Northampton, United Kingdom, as another compelling reason Abians should sustain the current administration beyond its first term.
Reacting to Governor Otti’s keynote lecture at the University’s annual conference on racial justice, Ambassador Offor said the Governor’s performance once again demonstrated that true leadership is built on knowledge, character, vision and the ability to represent one’s people with dignity on the global stage.
According to him, the lecture was not merely an academic engagement but a powerful affirmation that Abia now has a leader whose ideas command respect beyond Nigeria’s borders.
“The Governor’s presentation at the University of Northampton was a proud moment for every Abian. It reflected intellectual depth, statesmanship and the confidence of a leader who understands governance beyond politics,” Offor stated.
He noted that Governor Otti’s emphasis on building bridges instead of walls, promoting inclusion, and encouraging dialogue over division aligns with the kind of leadership needed in today’s world.
The philanthropist and business leader said the Governor’s ability to address a diverse international audience with clarity and conviction further reinforces the growing perception that Abia is undergoing a remarkable transformation under purposeful leadership.
Ambassador Offor also praised Governor Otti’s call for Nigerians to remain hopeful and actively contribute to nation-building, saying such optimism is backed by practical results already visible across Abia State.
He maintained that the administration’s achievements in infrastructure renewal, governance reforms, improved public service delivery and restored investor confidence have repositioned Abia as a model of responsible leadership.
According to him, Governor Otti’s growing international recognition mirrors the confidence many Abians already have in his capacity to deliver sustainable development.
“The respect Governor Otti commands today is not accidental. It is the product of competence, integrity, preparation and a genuine commitment to public service. When a leader consistently projects Abia positively before the international community, every citizen shares in that honour,” he said.
Offor argued that continuity remains critical to consolidating the gains already recorded by the present administration, stressing that transformational leadership requires time to fully mature and deliver lasting institutional reforms.
He therefore urged Abians across political, ethnic and religious divides to rally behind Governor Otti and support his re-election bid in 2027, insisting that the state’s ongoing progress should not be interrupted.
“Abia has regained confidence, credibility and direction under Governor Alex Otti. The foundations of sustainable development are being laid, and it is only wise that the people consolidate these gains by ensuring continuity in 2027.”
He added that history has shown that societies make faster progress when visionary leadership is allowed to complete its developmental agenda rather than being disrupted by unnecessary political changes.
Ambassador Offor congratulated Governor Otti for once again making Abia proud on the global stage and expressed confidence that the administration would continue to raise the state’s profile through impactful governance, visionary leadership and excellence.
