Engr Joseph Umunna Shines, Shows Capacity In Abuja As NDC Holds First National Convention

Chief Engr. Joseph Umunna (Onwa), aspirant for Abia North Senatorial Zone, made a strong impression at the just concluded maiden National Convention of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) held in Abuja.

The convention, which brought together party leaders, stakeholders, aspirants and democracy advocates from across Nigeria, marked a major step in the party’s growing national presence ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Engr. Umunna stood out as one of the visible and active stakeholders from Abia State, participating in strategic engagements and high-level discussions focused on rebuilding Nigeria through credible leadership, accountability and people-oriented governance.

A major highlight of the gathering was the National Press Conference organized by the NDC Aspirants Forum in collaboration with the Coalition for the Protection of Democracy (COPDEM), under the theme: “Rescue Nigeria: Consolidating Hope, Building a New Beginning.”

At the conference, party stakeholders declared that Nigeria must urgently be rescued from insecurity, economic hardship, corruption and failed leadership through competent and visionary governance.
