President of the OTTIMANIA Legacy Movement, Ambassador Dr. Osita Offor, “De Ultimate Commander,” has thanked the people of Ngwa for their support for Governor Alex Chioma Otti and the call for continuity of his administration beyond 2027.
Offor, while making the case for continuity, appealed to what he described as “a few disgruntled, greedy and gluttonous elements” within the Ngwa political space to put the broader interest of the people ahead of personal political interests.
According to him, genuine concern for the people of Ngwa and Abia State should be demonstrated through constructive engagement rather than what he described as campaigns of calumny against the Governor.
He said the conversation should instead focus on the projects, reforms and interventions of the Otti administration across the state, particularly in infrastructure, healthcare, education, transportation and urban renewal.
Offor pointed to Aba, the commercial heart of Ngwa land and a major economic centre of Abia State, as one of the areas where the administration’s infrastructure programme is visible, saying that same has reached all nooks and crannies of Ngwa land, just like every other one among the 17LGAs of the state.
Among the projects and interventions highlighted are the reconstruction of major roads across the state, the ongoing Aba Ring Road project, rehabilitation of the Ariaria and Ubakala water schemes, healthcare infrastructure, education and transportation projects.
According to figures released by the Abia State Government, the administration has completed 414 road projects covering more than 800 kilometres, while another 82 road projects spanning over 200 kilometres were at various stages of completion as of May 2026.
In the water sector, the government in May 2026 flagged off the rehabilitation of the Ariaria and Ubakala water schemes at a combined investment of N1.3 billion, with the projects involving Abia State Government and Mercy Corps.
The administration has also reported the retrofitting and functionalisation of more than 277 Primary Healthcare Centres and the recruitment of nearly 1,000 healthcare professionals. In education, the government reported that 5,394 teachers had been recruited, with another 4,000 recruitment exercise underway.
On fiscal management, BudgIT’s 2025 State of States database ranked Abia fourth in its fiscal performance ranking, using the state’s 2024 financial data.
For Offor, these developments provide the basis for a broader conversation about governance, continuity and the sustainability of projects already underway.
He maintained that political differences should not become a reason to undermine projects and policies that directly affect the people, urging stakeholders across Ngwa and the wider Abia State to place development and the broader public interest above personal political considerations.
As the 2027 political conversation gathers momentum, the OTTIMANIA President said the record of completed and ongoing projects, alongside the administration’s wider reforms, would remain central to his argument for continuity.
