The NDC candidate for Bende Federal Constituency in the 2027 general election, Pascal Karibe Ojigwe, on Sunday joined other distinguished guests at the Annual General Meeting of the Akoliufu/Amaokwe Elu Alayi Women.
Ojigwe’s presence added colour to the gathering, which brought together members of the women’s group, community stakeholders and other special guests to celebrate the organisation’s anniversary and reflect on its activities and contributions to community development.
One of the major highlights of the event was the cutting of the anniversary cake, where Karibe Ojigwe joined other special guests to perform the ceremonial cutting.
Adding a strong touch of local identity to the celebration, the anniversary cake was uniquely prepared with Akpuruakpu Egusi, showcasing the creativity and cultural heritage of the people.
The occasion provided an opportunity for the women to celebrate their collective achievements, strengthen their bonds and reaffirm their commitment to the progress and wellbeing of their families and community.
For Ojigwe, who is seeking to represent Bende Federal Constituency on the platform of the NDC in the 2027 election, the gathering also provided an avenue to interact with grassroots stakeholders and identify with the people in a relaxed community setting.
The event was characterised by warmth, cultural pride and camaraderie, as the women and their guests marked another milestone in the life of the Akoliufu/Amaokwe Elu Alayi Women.
His participation further reflected the growing importance of community engagements as political stakeholders continue to deepen their grassroots interactions ahead of the 2027 general election.
