Ambassador Dr. Osita Offor, “De Ultimate Commander” (Ikenga Gburuguru of Ohafia and Nneato Ancient Kingdoms), is leading an expanding grassroots mobilisation campaign through the OTTIMANIA Legacy Movement for the reelection of Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, and his Deputy, Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu, FNSE, in the 2027 general elections.
The OTTIMANIA Legacy Movement is a duly registered Labour Party pro-group established to mobilise support for the reelection of Governor Otti, his Deputy and other Labour Party candidates in the 2027 elections.
At the heart of the movement is the conviction that the policies, reforms and projects initiated by the Otti administration have set Abia on a new developmental trajectory and should be sustained beyond 2027.
The movement believes that another term for the Otti administration would provide the opportunity to consolidate what it describes as the gains and achievements of the “New Abia”, while allowing ongoing projects and reforms to mature and deliver greater impact across the state.
Its message is encapsulated in a simple but deliberate slogan: “Be Part Of The History.”
For Ambassador Osita Offor, the campaign is therefore not merely about securing another electoral victory for Governor Otti. It is about building a grassroots movement around the argument that Abia’s current direction should be sustained and strengthened until 2031.
As one of the principal conveners of the OTTIMANIA Legacy Movement, De Ultimate Commander has continued to deploy his extensive grassroots relationships and political networks across the 17 Local Governments Areas of Abia State in support of the continuity agenda.
The movement’s convening team includes other prominent Abia stakeholders such as Dr. Uche Sampson Ogah, former Minister; High Chief Ray Nkemdirim, Chairman of Flo.FM; Engr. Henry Okoroafor, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Blessed Henken International Company Limited; and Mazi Sunny Afurobi, Mayor of Umunneochi Local Government Area.
The continuity campaign has also attracted the attention and support of prominent political figures and stakeholders across Abia, including Senator Enyinnaya Harcourt Abaribe, Hon. Obi Aguocha, Hon. Ambobi Godwin Ogah, Dr. Chimezie Isaac Ukaegbu, Prince Uzor Nwachukwu, Hon. Alex Mascot Ikwechegh and Hon. Ginger Onwusibe, among other stakeholders associated with the wider political conversation in the state.
The movement’s engagement also extends to political and advocacy groups, including Abia Arise, led by Mazi Nkem Okoro, as well as members of the Abia State House of Assembly, youth organisations, women associations, community groups and other grassroots stakeholders.
For the conveners, the broad spectrum of personalities and groups identifying with the continuity conversation reflects what they describe as growing interest in sustaining the development trajectory of the “New Abia.”
They maintain that Governor Otti’s reelection in 2027 would provide the political stability required to consolidate the administration’s programmes and continue the process of repositioning Abia for sustainable growth and development.
Beyond political endorsements, the OTTIMANIA Legacy Movement is positioning itself as a grassroots advocacy platform, with plans to mobilise support across wards, communities and local government areas.
The strategy is built around taking the continuity message directly to the people, engaging citizens at the grassroots and encouraging Abians to evaluate the present administration based on its policies, projects and overall direction of governance.
The movement is also reaching beyond the state, with Abians in the diaspora increasingly being encouraged to identify with the continuity campaign and participate in the broader effort to sustain what its promoters describe as the transformation of the “New Abia.”
For the movement, the 2027 election represents an opportunity for Abians to make a decision on the future direction of the state.
And its message remains consistent: if the people believe that the present administration has laid the foundation for a better and more prosperous Abia, then that foundation should be given the opportunity to grow.
That is the political philosophy behind the OTTIMANIA Legacy Movement’s mobilisation campaign — continuity, consolidation and completion.
With De Ultimate Commander and other conveners taking the message deeper into the grassroots, the movement is preparing to make the 2027 reelection campaign a community-driven political project, bringing together political leaders, elected representatives, youth organisations, women associations, community stakeholders and Abians at home and in the diaspora.
From Ohafia and Nneato to other parts of Abia, the movement’s call remains direct and deliberate:
Be Part Of The History.
