The zonal leadership of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) has paid a visit to the country home of Rt. Hon. Uko Ndukwe Nkole, where the delegation offered prayers and expressed support for the presidential aspiration of Peter Obi and Nkole’s senatorial candidacy.
The visit provided an opportunity for the MFM leadership to identify with the former two-term member of the House of Representatives and his political journey, as consultations ahead of the 2027 general elections continue to gather momentum.
The group’s decision to voluntarily identify with Nkole’s senatorial aspiration was also informed by his record of public service and the legacies associated with his eight years in the National Assembly.
Among the notable projects particularly the rehabilitation/reticulation of Ohafia Water Scheme at Akanu-Ohafia, Amuke water scheme .Other signature projects facilitated under his watch and yet to be completed and stagnated after his tenure in office includes major federal road projects including the Ohafia–Arochukwu Highway, Ohafia–Ozu Abam–Bende–Umuahia Road, Arochukwu–Ututu–Isu–Ikot Okpora Road and Arochukwu–Itu Road.
His legislative interventions also covered road corridors linking Abiriba, Nkporo, Edda and Afikpo, as well as the May Ten Elu Ohafia–Amuke–Amangwu–Biakpan Road, among other projects across the district.
It was against the backdrop of such records of service and the impact of his previous representation that the MFM leadership expressed its support, signalling that its decision was based on what it considers Nkole’s demonstrated capacity and contributions to the development of his constituency.
During the visit, the delegation prayed for divine guidance, wisdom and success for Nkole, while also expressing goodwill towards the political aspirations of Mr. Peter Obi.
The engagement further underscored the growing interactions between Nkole and various groups and stakeholders within and outside his immediate constituency, with his antecedents and record of service featuring prominently in the consultations.
Nkole, who received the MFM zonal leadership at his country home, appreciated the delegation for the visit, prayers and show of support.
He noted the significance of the prayers and goodwill, stressing the importance of sincere engagement, collective support and continued service to the people.
The meeting ended on a warm note, with both sides exchanging goodwill and reaffirming the importance of prayers, service and collective responsibility in the political journey ahead.
