Abia 2027: NDC Presents Ogah, Alaribe to National Leadership as Party Consolidates Ahead of Governorship Election


The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has taken another strategic step in its preparations for the 2027 governorship election in Abia State, as the party’s governorship candidate, Chief Ndubuisi Etugo Ogah, and his running mate, Engr. Uzoma Alaribe, were formally presented to the national leadership of the party.

The high-level delegation was led on Wednesday night by the Abia State Chairman of the NDC, Hon. Ako Atuloma, alongside the party’s frontline candidates and key stakeholders from the state.

The delegation was received by the National Leader of the NDC, His Excellency Senator Seriake Dickson, National Chairman, Senator Moses Cleopas, and the National Secretary, Barr. Morgan Ikenna, in what marked a significant moment in the party’s build-up to the 2027 general elections.

Also present during the visit were the party’s three Abia Senatorial candidates: Senator Nkechi Nwogu (Abia Central), Rt. Hon. Uko Ndukwe Nkole, PhD (Abia North), and Mr. Kasarachi Michael (Abia South). Others in the delegation included Ambassador Endurance O. Philips, Secretary of the NDC Abia Elders Council, Rt. Hon. Uzoma Nkem Abonta, and other prominent party stakeholders.

The visit provided an opportunity for the Abia delegation to formally introduce the governorship ticket to the national leadership while demonstrating the unity and collective resolve of the party ahead of the 2027 electoral contest.

The NDC National Leadership warmly received the delegation and expressed appreciation for the visit, reaffirming its support for the Abia State chapter as the party continues to strengthen its structures and preparations for the forthcoming elections.
