Archbishop Dr. Onyeka Joseph Nzekwesi, popularly known as Chinakaribeya, has applauded the leadership of the Radio, Television, Theatre and Arts Workers Union (RATTAWU) of Nigeria for recognising his contributions to humanitarian service, national development and the advancement of God’s work.

The renowned cleric and Chief Executive Officer of Pineleaf Estate and Properties Limited spoke when the National President of RATTAWU, Comrade Prince Emeka Kalu (Magic Fingers), led members of the union on a courtesy visit to honour and appreciate his philanthropic activities.

Speaking during the visit, Archbishop Nzekwesi described the recognition as a significant encouragement for individuals who dedicate their lives and resources to improving the welfare of others.

He noted that celebrating people who have distinguished themselves through service to humanity helps promote a culture of compassion, responsibility and community development.

The Archbishop also praised the leadership of Comrade Kalu, saying RATTAWU under his watch has continued to expand its relevance beyond labour advocacy by recognising Nigerians making meaningful contributions to society.

According to him, the union’s decision to honour individuals committed to humanitarian causes demonstrates a broader commitment to promoting excellence, integrity and nation-building.

Nzekwesi further observed that many philanthropists and development-minded individuals often carry out impactful interventions without public attention, stressing that acknowledging such efforts would inspire others to contribute towards societal progress.

He maintained that organisations like RATTAWU have an important role to play in fostering partnerships among media professionals, cultural practitioners, private sector actors and community leaders in the pursuit of national development.

The cleric reaffirmed his commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at human development, economic empowerment and social welfare, pledging to continue investing in programmes that positively impact ordinary Nigerians.

He also expressed readiness to collaborate with organisations whose objectives align with the promotion of peace, prosperity and sustainable development.

Observers at the event noted that the recognition reflects RATTAWU’s growing commitment to celebrating individuals whose contributions continue to make a difference in communities across the country.

Archbishop Nzekwesi is widely known for his philanthropic interventions, religious leadership and investments in the real estate sector through Pineleaf Estate and Properties Limited.
