Abia North — The NDC Gubernatorial Candidate, Rt. Hon. Uko Ndukwe Nkole, has continued his engagements with stakeholders and communities across Abia State, in a series of activities focused on strengthening party structures, community relations and grassroots mobilisation.

The engagements featured three major events: an interaction with Hon. Ako Atuloma and members of the NDC State Executive Committee at the party’s State Secretariat in Umuahia; participation in the Umudinja Ameke Ovim New Yam Festival in Isuikwuato LGA alongside the NDC Gubernatorial Candidate; and a courtesy visit to Evangelist Blessing Ugbo, an NDC stakeholder, at her residence in Ubakala, Umuahia South LGA.

At the NDC State Secretariat, the Gubernatorial/Deputy Gubernatorial candidates interacted with Hon. Ako Atuloma and members of the State Executive Committee, discussing issues concerning the party, its structures and the collective efforts required to strengthen the NDC ahead of the 2027 elections.

The delegation later joined the people of Umudinja Ameke Ovim in Isuikwuato LGA for their New Yam Festival, an occasion which brought together community leaders, traditional stakeholders and political figures to celebrate the people’s cultural heritage and communal bonds.

The celebration also provided an opportunity for the NDC Gubernatorial Candidate to interact with the people and reaffirm the importance of grassroots engagement in building a people-oriented political movement.

In Umuahia South, the delegation paid a courtesy call on Evangelist Blessing Ugbo, an NDC stakeholder, at her home in Ubakala.

The visit formed part of ongoing consultations and stakeholder engagements aimed at fostering unity, strengthening relationships and building wider support for the NDC’s political agenda across Abia State.

The three engagements underscore the campaign’s continued emphasis on party unity, grassroots mobilisation, cultural connection and sustained stakeholder consultation as the 2027 political season approaches.
