Ambassador Dr. Osita Offor “De Ultimate Commander” (Ikenga Gburugburu of Ohafia and Nneato Ancient Kingdoms), has called on the people of Umunneochi Local Government Area to troop out in large numbers to welcome the Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, during his homecoming and reception scheduled for Friday, July 24, 2026.
In a goodwill message made available to OHAFIATV, Ambassador Offor described Governor Otti as a pragmatic, visionary and indefatigable leader whose administration has restored public confidence in governance through purposeful leadership, infrastructural renewal and people-oriented policies across Abia State.
According to him, the Governor’s visit presents an opportunity for the people of Umunneochi to demonstrate their appreciation for a leader who has continued to place the welfare of ordinary citizens at the centre of governance.
“Governor Alex Otti has restored confidence in governance. His administration has shown that leadership is about service, integrity and delivering tangible results to the people. I therefore encourage every son and daughter of Umunneochi to come out en masse and give him the warm reception he truly deserves,” Ambassador Offor stated.
The respected philanthropist and community leader commended the Executive Mayor of Umunneochi Local Government Area, Hon. Sunny Afurobi, for mobilising stakeholders and residents towards what is expected to be a historic reception for the Governor at Peace Secondary School, Amuda Isuochi.
He noted that the Mayor’s efforts reflect the collective desire of the people to identify with the developmental strides of the present administration while strengthening the partnership between the state government and the grassroots.
Ambassador Offor further urged traditional rulers, youths, women groups, community leaders, artisans, market associations, civil servants, Labour Party faithful, OTTIMANIA Movement, UAAP, Abia Arise supporters and all well-meaning residents of Umunneochi to participate peacefully and massively in the event.
He stressed that sustained grassroots support remains critical to consolidating the gains already recorded by the Otti administration, expressing confidence that the Governor deserves overwhelming support as discussions ahead of the 2027 governorship election continue.
According to him, continuity of purposeful leadership will enable ongoing projects and reforms across Abia State to reach full maturity for the benefit of present and future generations.
Governor Otti is expected to engage directly with residents during the visit while reaffirming his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance and equitable development across every part of Abia State.
The reception, convened by the Umunneochi Local Government administration under the leadership of Hon. Sunny Afurobi, is expected to attract traditional institutions, political leaders, community organisations, professional groups and thousands of residents from across the council area in what observers believe will be another strong demonstration of grassroots support for the Governor.
