A staunch supporter of the re-election of Governor Alex Chioma Otti OFR, through the OTTIMANIA Movement, Ambassador Dr. Osita Offor “De Ultimate Commander” (Ikenga Gburugburu of Ohafia Ancient Kingdom), has commended the wife of the Abia State Governor, Mrs. Priscilla Otti, for what he described as an uncommon display of compassion and humanitarian service following the commissioning of 35 decent (Dignity Homes) for indigent widows across the state.
Mrs. Otti had recently commissioned the housing initiative in Umuahia, with the project spanning all 17 Local Government Areas of Abia State. The initiative, according to stakeholders, is aimed at restoring dignity, hope, and better living conditions for widows and vulnerable women who had previously lived in difficult circumstances.
Reacting to the development, Ambassador Offor described the gesture as clear evidence that the Otti family genuinely has the welfare of ordinary people at heart, stressing that their approach to governance and service reflects a commitment to impactful, life-touching interventions rather than what he termed “the frenzy and clout-chasing often associated with public office.”
He noted that the housing project stands as a rare demonstration of kindness and purposeful leadership, particularly in a society where vulnerable groups are often neglected.
The OTTIMANIA chieftain praised Mrs. Otti for prioritising the welfare of widows and less-privileged citizens, saying her intervention had offered renewed hope and dignity to dozens of families across Abia State.
Ambassador Offor, further invoked divine blessings upon the First Lady of Abia State, praying for greater strength and grace for her to sustain humanitarian efforts that directly improve the lives of the people.
Ambassador Offor also used the opportunity to call on Abians to support continuity in governance, insisting that sustaining the achievements of Governor Otti’s administration remains the surest path to consolidating ongoing developmental strides and people-oriented programmes in the state.
According to the undisputed heavyweight wrestling champion, continuity would guarantee the preservation and expansion of initiatives targeted at improving welfare, infrastructure, and social support for vulnerable citizens across Abia State.
