Hon. Chidi Igwe Ukah, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate for Ohafia South State Constituency in the 2027 Abia State House of Assembly election, attended the Ohafia Day celebration in Aba on Saturday, October 17, 2026.
Ukah attended the event alongside Udo Ete Ifekwe, NDC Local Government Chairman; Nnanna Uduma Uguru, popularly known as Ogbuefi Okwara Igu; Okorie Okala Nwoke, Campaign General Secretary; Emeka Ikpemini; and Amaechi Udoka, NDC Public Relations Officer.
The celebration brought together Ohafia indigenes in Aba, providing an occasion for members of the community to gather and celebrate their shared heritage.
The presence of Ukah and the NDC officials placed party representatives among participants at the community event as preparations for the 2027 Abia State House of Assembly election approach.
The Ohafia Day celebration held in Aba formed the setting for the gathering of community members, political figures from Ohafia and offered the candidate the opportunity to passionately sell his ideas to the people at community level.
