The Governorship Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Elder Chief Ndubisi Etugo Ogah, hosted a strategic meeting of candidates and select stakeholders of the party across Abia North at his Onuaku residence,Uturu, Isuikwuato Local Government Area.
The meeting brought together key party stakeholders and candidates from the Abia North Senatorial Zone, including the Rt Hon Uko Ndukwe Nkole the NDC Abia North Senatorial Candidate, Mr. Elvis, candidate for the Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency; as well as State Assembly candidates for Arochukwu, Ohafia North, Bende North and South Isuikwuato State house Constituencies respectively .
Also in attendance were the State Women’s Leader, State Party Secretary, Rotarian Louis State Publicity Secretary and other members of the State Working Committee from the zone.
The NDC Abia North Zonal Chairman, Amb. Okoro Okeke, alongside other party leaders and stakeholders, also participated in the meeting.
The gathering provided an opportunity for the party’s leadership, candidates and grassroots stakeholders to strengthen internal coordination, consolidate mobilisation structures and align strategies ahead of the 2027 elections.
A major political thread running through the engagement was the party’s commitment to the Peter Obi presidency project, with stakeholders reaffirming the need to take the message of Peter Obi and the NDC to the grassroots across Abia North.
With Uko Nkole carrying the NDC senatorial campaign in Abia North, the meeting further reinforced the party’s broader electoral strategy of mobilising voters across the Senatorial Zone in support of its candidates and the presidential ambition of Peter Obi in 2027.
The Convener of the meeting Elder Etugo the governorship candidate, senatorial candidate, federal and state assembly candidates, zonal leadership and critical State Working Committee members highlighted the growing coordination of the NDC in Abia North as the party steps up preparations for the 2027 polls.
The stakeholders’ meeting at Ogah’s Uturu residence therefore marked another strategic step in the party’s efforts to build a united campaign structure capable of translating its growing political presence into electoral strength across Abia North.
