Ambassador Dr. Osita Offor “De Ultimate Commander” (Ikenga Gburugburu), has paid glowing tribute to Abia workers on the occasion of the 2026 International Workers’ Day, praising their consistency and vital role in sustaining the State’s ongoing transformation.

In his Workers’ Day message, Offor highlighted the silent but powerful impact of the Abia workforce, noting that beyond policies and leadership, it is the daily sacrifices of civil servants, professionals, and artisans that keep the wheels of progress turning across the State.

He pointed out that the renewed sense of direction in Abia is not accidental but a product of alignment between leadership and the people, particularly the workers who have continued to show faith in the administration of Alex Chioma Otti OFR.

According to Ambassador Offor, what is being witnessed in Abia today is a departure from the past, where governance is now driven by results, transparency, and a clear commitment to restoring confidence in public service. He noted that workers have every reason to stand firmly with the current administration, given its deliberate efforts to restore order, ensure regular remuneration, and rebuild institutional integrity.

“Abia workers are not just participants in governance; they are critical drivers of the change we are seeing. Their belief in this government has helped stabilize the system and accelerate progress,” he stated.

The philanthropist further stressed that the present administration has shown that governance can work when sincerity meets competence, urging workers to protect and sustain the gains already recorded by remaining loyal, diligent, and forward-looking.

He also encouraged them to see themselves as partners in a broader mission to reposition Abia as a model of efficiency and productivity, adding that history will favour those who stood on the side of progress at a defining moment like this.

Ambassador Offor concluded by saluting the courage of Abia workers and charging them to keep the momentum alive as the State continues to chart a new course of growth and development.

Happy Workers’ Day to All Abia Workers!
