NKPA, ABIA — The inaugural meeting of the five-man coordinators drawn from the 11 communities of Nkpa Clan has been held in Nkpa, with the group declaring its readiness to strengthen grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections. The event held at Amaokpu Nkpa in Nkpaukwu Autonomous Community.
The meeting focused on the Peter Obi presidential project, Uko Nkole’s Abia North Senatorial candidacy, and the Ikukuoma political movement, all under the platform of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).


The coordinators discussed strategies for taking the NDC message directly to the grassroots, stressing the importance of unity, effective communication and community-based mobilisation across the 11 communities.
The Cordinators while expressing their commitment to building a strong support base for Peter Obi/Kwankwaso ,Uko Nkole ,Emeka Philips and candidacy also pledge support to all NDC candidates.
The coordinators described the meeting as the beginning of a more structured grassroots engagement in Nkpa, aimed at connecting the NDC’s political message with the aspirations of the people.
They resolved to work collectively across the various communities, mobilise supporters and sustain political awareness as activities towards the 2027 elections intensify.
The meeting ended with a renewed commitment to the Peter Obi, Uko Nkole and Ikukuoma projects, with the coordinators positioning Nkpa as an important grassroots bloc in the emerging NDC political structure.
