In the early hours of Monday morning, Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State appointed Omobayo Marvellous Godwins as his new deputy, following the impeachment of the former Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu, by the Edo State House of Assembly. Omobayo Marvellous Godwins is currently 38 years old and hails from Akoko-Edo, Edo North Senatorial District. The Malawi Embassy in Nigeria has been alerted of a worrisome development involving her citizen, Moses Dzimbiri of Blantyre, Malawi, who has been impersonating his country by posing as an immigration officer to defraud unsuspecting Nigerians of their hard-earned money.  In his latest stunt,  a young Nigerian who needed a business VISA to Malawi was introduced to Moses in November 2023. The Indigenous People of Biafra, or IPOB, branded retired General Yakubu Gowon, former head of state of the military, a "genocidist" on Sunday. Emma Powerful, a spokesman for IPOB, charged Gowon with spearheading the second-bloodiest genocide against Igbos after the Holocaust in Israel.
