Buratai described Wike’s action as “a dangerous assault on military discipline and a threat to national security.”
He warned that the altercation undermines the authority of President Bola Tinubu as Commander-in-Chief and could weaken morale within the Armed Forces.
“A minister’s verbal assault on a military officer is an act of profound indiscipline. It strikes at the core of our national command structure,” Buratai said.

He called on Wike to tender an immediate public apology to President Tinubu, the Armed Forces, and the officer involved.
As of now, no official response has come from the FCTA or Wike’s office.
Buratai Warns:
“Our nation’s security must always come first. The integrity of our Armed Forces demands nothing less.”
