Natasha Moves To Sue NASS Clerk Over Resumption Ban

Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan

Suspended Kogi Central Senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduagha, is taking a strong stance against the National Assembly’s clerk, Kamorudeen Ogunlana.

She’s threatening legal action if she’s blocked from resuming plenary on Monday, citing a court order that permits her return.

In a letter signed by her counsel, Chief Michael Numa, Natasha emphasized that disobeying the court order would be a constitutional violation and a breach of the Code of Conduct for Public Officers.

She’s putting the clerk on notice that failure to comply by Monday will prompt her to take legal action, including contempt charges and disciplinary measures.

The situation highlights the ongoing tensions between Natasha and the National Assembly.

Her counsel urged the Clerk to reconsider his stance and comply with the Constitution and judicial orders, warning that he’ll be held responsible for any breach of peace.
